Rita Wei

ADMINISTRATOR

Rita (Hsuan) Wei is a graduate theatre production and design student at Simon Fraser University for the Contemporary Arts.

As an international from Taiwan and Macau, Rita is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, also learning Korean for the past couple years.

Rita’s stage-managing experience started off working for Between Two Rocks directed by Robert Leveroos in the World Stage Design Festival 2017 summer, in Taipei. She then stage managed for Topophilia directed by Steven Hill and Rob Kitsos, and had the honor to work with Leaky Heavens, MACHiNENOiSY and North Shore Light Opera Society etc. She was the assistant Artistic Director with the ACSEA – Asian Canadian Special Event Association in planning for Lunar Festivals and oversea concert events.

Rita teaches piano during her spare time, she also lighting designs and set designs! Rita also works for the Front of House team at the SFU School of Contemporary Arts.

Rita is incredibly excited and grateful to work with Richmond Academy of Dance!
