Rita Wei, BFA

ADMINISTRATOR

Rita is a dedicated office administrator at The Richmond Academy of Dance where she plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Academy.

Born in Taiwan and raised in Macau and Canada, with childhood years spent in Korea, Rita brings a rich cultural background and a multilingual perspective to the role. Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and Korean, she effectively communicates with a diverse range of students and families.

Rita holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre Production & Design from Simon Fraser University, where she honed her appreciation for the arts. Her lifelong passion for music is reflected in her early piano training, achieving an ABRSM Grade 8 certificate and an RCM Grade 10 certificate. Additionally, Rita has completed an Early Childhood Education Assistant certificate, further enriching her ability to support young learners in a nurturing environment.

Since joining The Richmond Academy of Dance in 2020, Rita has implemented efficient office procedures, managed schedules, and coordinated communications, ensuring that every student and family receives the support they need to thrive. Her attention to detail and proactive approach have been instrumental in enhancing the overall experience at the academy.

Outside of her administrative duties, Rita actively participates in academy events and enjoys hobbies such as yoga, Pilates, dance, lighting design, and stage management. These interests not only reflect a commitment to physical wellness and creativity but also enhance her understanding of the performing arts.

Committed to fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere, Rita understands the vital role the arts play in personal development and community engagement. With a strong belief in the transformative power of dance, theatre and arts, Rita looks forward to continuing to support the vibrant community at The Richmond Academy of Dance and helping to inspire the next generation.
