Natsuko Morimoto

CLASSICAL BALLET

Natsuko Morimoto is a dedicated ballet teacher from Japan, now sharing her passion at the Richmond Academy of Dance.

Born and Raised in Japan, Natsuko began her classical ballet journey at the age of six in her hometown Osaka. From a young age, she also explored various forms of movement, including jazz, rhythmic gymnastics, and figure skating. Natsuko’s passion for dance took her across the globe enriching her experience and technique.

She spent three years in Canada during her youth, where she danced with the prestigious Royal Winnipeg Ballet School. Upon returning to Japan, she continued her ballet training at the Osaka Ballet Academy under the guidance of esteemed teachers Mieko Saegusa and Teruyo Tachibana. Her dedication and love for dance followed her to Europe, where she enjoyed dancing in Belgium and France during her exchange years abroad.

In addition to her dance background, Natsuko is currently an international student studying Supply Chain Management in Vancouver. Despite her academic pursuits, her love for classical ballet remains. As a teacher, Natsuko feels that it is important to provide students with a positive and inspiring environment where they can feel confident, motivated, and have the opportunity to continually improve. She wants to see her students be proud of their progress and the result of putting their dedication in.

Natsuko is thrilled to join the Richmond Academy of Dance and is very excited to start a new year with her students, sharing her love for the fine art of ballet.
