Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Melissa is an experienced tap teacher with a passion for sharing her love of rhythm and movement.

With a background in ISTD, she completed her Advanced 2 qualifications in both Tap and Modern Theatre in addition to competing in Irish dancing. After teaching the ISTD and Tap’N’Beats tap syllabi for six years in Auckland, Melissa moved to Vancouver in 2023 and immediately began training with local and international artists.

Throughout her career, Melissa has performed at events such as Tap City with the American Tap Dance Foundation in New York City, the Australian Tap Dance Festival in Melbourne, Sarah Reich's Tap Music Project in Toronto, and with Momentum Productions in Auckland. She also choreographed tap segments for six different productions with Expressions Dance in Auckland.
