Karina Collins

CLASSICAL BALLET

Karina Collins started dancing at the age of 12 after being inspired by going to see the ballet.

Coming from several years of training and competing as a gymnast before starting ballet, she  dedicated herself to the craft through her training at Goh Ballet Academy. There she studied the  R.A.D and Vaganova methods. Karina continued and advanced her training in New York City for  summer intensives with Joffrey Ballet Academy and Bolshoi Ballet Academy. Karina then went on to  dance with Coastal City Ballet in 2018 and danced soloist and principal roles in many full length  Ballet’s by Irene Schneider under the direction of Katrina Bois. Karina has been teaching her own  classes when she is not dancing, to inspire others. During the pandemic she was excited and  grateful to dance in the U.S with Oklahoma City Ballet, and then Twin Cities Ballet of Minnesota. Karina wanted to take her career to Europe so she did a grand audition in Italy and after being given  several offers, she was thrilled to be going to Germany to dance with the ballet company of Theater Koblenz. She is now back in Canada and is focused and excited to pass on her passion and  knowledge to the next generation of dancers.
