Kamilah Wilson

CLASSICAL BALLET

Born and raised in Richmond, BC, Kamilah is a multi-talented artist and graduate of the Richmond Academy of Dance’s Professional Program.

Her exceptional training at the Academy nurtured a lifelong love of dance, and led to numerous awards, scholarships, Senior Ballet Provincial title, and a professional career.

Throughout her career, Kamilah performed with renowned companies and worked on various productions, showcasing both traditional and new works such as Romeo and Juliet, Coppélia, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Giselle, Atonement, Stage Within, Capture, Brigadoon, A Chorus Line, and on the sets of Supernatural, Arrow, Bates Motel, Motive, Nike and Michael Bublé. Kamilah had the privilege of performing such works under the tutelage of mentors such as, Veronica Tennant, Karen Kain, Evelyn Hart, Brian Macdonald, Annette av Paul, Karin Averty, Simone Orlando, Gioconda Barbuto, Joshua Beamish, Anna-Marie Holmes, Edgar Zendejas, and many others.

In addition to her dance career, Kamilah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Culture & Theology with a concentration in education. She is an Associate of the Royal Academy of Dance and holds certifications in Progressing Ballet Technique. Furthermore, she works as a Performance Specialist with Skate Canada and generously volunteers her time as a Special Olympics Competition Coach and as an elected Sport Expert for Fast and Female.

As a sought-after teacher and adjudicator both nationally and internationally, Kamilah’s approach is technical, passionate and intentional, infused with empowerment and altruism. Her unwavering dedication to her craft, combined with her commitment to making a positive impact, has solidified her position as an esteemed artist and advocate in the industry.
