Annabelle Wong, BFA

CLASSICAL BALLET

Annabelle Wong, is a dance artist, choreographer and teacher.

She was born and raised in Richmond, BC and completed her formal training at the Richmond Academy of Dance. Annabelle trained in classical ballet, modern and various styles of contemporary dance. She had the privilege of working with many revered teachers and choreographers in Vancouver, including Heather Laura Grey, Heather Dotto, Joshua Beamish, Curtis Foley, Susan Toumine, and Annette Jakubowski.

Annabelle graduated from Simon Fraser University in June 2020 with a BFA. Hons in dance. During her time in SFU, she has trained with Megan Walker-Straight, Judith Garay, Marla Eist, Rob Kitsos and Henry Daniel. In addition, performed works by Henry Daniel, Sarah Chase, Heather Myers, Wen Wei Wang, Company 605, and Yosi Berg & Oded Graf. She has performed in the L.A.U.N.C.H project in 2016, MascallDance: Bloom -Wine, Dance, Comedy 2018, and Richmond World Festival 2019. She is currently dancing with Coupe dance & Co directed under Kyla Couper.

She aspires to pursue a career in what interests her most, her passion for movement and the endless creative possibilities that her art form has to offer. She is working with companies in Vancouver and teaches ballet at the Academy. She is honoured to have the opportunity to give back to the studio that set her on her path to exploring the world of dance and all that it has to offer.
