Alex Gullason

ACTING & VOICE

Alex (she/her) is an actor, singer and improviser from North Vancouver, BC. She attended the Musical Theatre Program at Capilano University and graduated with honours in 2012.

Some of her favourite theatre roles include Sophie in Mamma Mia! (Chemainus), Amy in Company, Sally Bowles in Cabaret (Raincity), Sheila in Hair (Renegade), Mona in Hurricane Mona (Touchstone) and Cynthia Weil in Beautiful (Stage West). Her work in theatre has been recognized through multiple award nominations, and an Ovation and Jessie Award win.

Alex loves to grow creatively which led her to begin training in improv comedy in 2018. She now performs weekly with the mainstage ensemble at The Improv Centre in Vancouver. Recently she was even fortunate enough to perform with legendary improviser Colin Mochorie. 

Alex also works in film and TV. Select credits include a supporting role in Christmas in Tahoe (Hallmark), as well as roles on Riverdale (CW), The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Netflix) and Untold Stories of the ER (TLC). In 2021 she landed a role in the AppleTV musical series Schmigadoon! The highlight of her career came the following year when she was offered a recurring role in Schmigadoon! season 2 and had the opportunity to work alongside some of Broadway’s best artists.

She is excited to be back at Richmond Academy of Dance because of all the exceptional students she gets to work with!
