Pilates

Pilates and experiential anatomy classes are taught with a basis in yoga and cranial sacral therapy with the primary goal being to develop dancer’s self-awareness and teaching injury prevention techniques. The Academy offers a weekly group class, with the option of enrolling in private one-on-one training sessions using Pilates equipment such as a reformer and exercise balls.

Class Objectives:

  • have a thorough understanding of the body’s anatomy
  • understand common injury causes
  • have a broader ability to recognize and prevent potential injuries
  • strengthen their core and flexibility
  • develop an acute sense of self-awareness

Classes offered to: students in the Professional Ballet Division

Private sessions offered to: students ages 13-adult
