Shauna Elton has been active in the dance world for over twenty-five years.
Shauna was a Senior Choreography Member with Le Groupe Dance Lab for 8 years where she had the pleasure of working with numerous acclaimed choreographers from across Canada and abroad including Tedd Robinson, Michael Trent, Peter Bingham, Linda Goudreau, Helen Blackburn, Meg Stuart, Sasha Waltz, Tom Stroud, Julia Sasso, Tania Alvarado and Wayne McGregor, among others.
Shauna’s choreographic works have been presented in the Canada Dance Festival, Dusk Dances, Studio A Series at Le Groupe Dance Lab, The Ottawa Council for the Arts, Dance in Vancouver, The Vancouver International Dance Festival, Dances for a Small Stage, 12 Minutes Max and Art for Impact.
Shauna is an independent dancer, choreographer, contemporary dance teacher for professional and pre-professional dance classes in the dance community and a sessional instructor at Simon Fraser University’s Contemporary Dance program and for various training programs in Vancouver.
She is a certified yoga instructor and Holistic nutritionist, blending mindfulness and holistic movement practices to help individuals achieve mind-body centered health.
She is completing her certification in MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) and offers a ‘Radiance & Resilience’ program for individuals and groups on request.
