Ramona began her professional dance training with the Richmond Academy of Dance under the training of Annette Jakubowski, Wendy Green, Jian Rong Sheng and Suzanne Ouellette.
When Ramona was fourteen, she moved to Winnipeg to train in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s Professional Division. During her time at the school, she performed in the corps de ballet and as a soloist in many of the classical works including the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Three Musketeers, Swan Lake, Les Sylphides, Don Quixote, Fairy Doll, Le Corsaire and various contemporary pieces by choreographers from around the world. She worked with many world-renowned artists and choreographers including Jordan Morris, Arnold Spohr, David Moroni, Josee Garant, Galina Yordanova, Andre Lewis, Tara Birtwhistle, Evelyn Hart, Arlene Minkhorst, Jacquline Webber, Paul Destrooper and Nina Menon. She graduated from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School’s Professional Division in 2001.
Ramona then went on to earn her Registered Teacher Status with the Royal Academy of Dance in 2006 and carries her Associate of the Royal Academy certification. Recently, Ramona received her certification in Progressing Ballet Technique. Ramona has taught and choreographed ballet throughout the Lower Mainland for students of all ages. She stays true to the classical form and nature of dance and is continually furthering her education in the latest development and research of ballet.
