Racheal Prince: Contemporary Instructor

Raised in Wasaga Beach, Ontario, Racheal received her early training at the Quinte Ballet School under the direction of Brian Scott. Following her training at Quinte, Racheal attended the School of Alberta Ballet’s Pre-Professional Program under Murray and Nancy Kilgour where she received the prestigious Ali Pourfarrokh Scholarship.

Racheal began her professional career with the Alberta Ballet Company with whom she danced for four seasons,  followed by twelve seasons with Ballet BC. She was privileged to tour internationally; a highlight of which being Ballet BC’s Olivier Award Nomination Performance at Sadler’s Wells in the United Kingdom.

Her performance highlights include Jorma Elo’s 1st Flash, Johan Inger’s Walking Mad and B.R.I.S.A, William Forsythe’s Enemy in the Figure and Work Within Work as well as many works by George Balanchine.

She has created works for the dancers of Ballet BC in collaboration with the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts and is currently working on new creations with dance artist Brandon Alley. Racheal was the 2016 Cecchetti Awards Adjudicator, Choreographer and Workshop Teacher and has been a guest teacher for the Alberta Ballet School’s Professional Summer Intensive. Racheal has an immense passion for teaching and is excited to share her experiences with aspiring dancers.
