Tatiana was born and raised in Richmond, BC. She is a graduate of the Richmond Academy of Dance’s Professional Program where she trained for 15 years in classical ballet, Vaganova and RAD techniques, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, contemporary, acting, musical theatre, and Pilates.
She has studied with internationally acclaimed pedagogues including Veronica Tennant, Diane van Schoor, Edmund Stripe, Susan Toumine, Karin Averty, Mercedez Bernardez, Jonathon Kane, Derick Grant, Michelle Dorrance, Harold Cromer, and Randy Skinner. Tatiana’s repertoire includes soloist, and corps de ballet roles in much of the classical repertoire including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, The Sleeping Beauty, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Coppelia.
Tatiana has over 10 years of child care experience, including support roles with children with developmental disabilities. Her keen interest in child development, led to obtaining a BAH (Psychology) from Queen’s University. She became Director of Queen’s Dance Club, Canada’s largest student-run organization. There, she taught classical ballet, tap, and conditioning to students, managed 30 faculty members, and produced performances involving over 600 dancers.
Tatiana is proud to be back at the Richmond Academy of Dance as a faculty member. She has since introduced an Adult Ballet program and is currently completing her Royal Academy of Dance Certification in Ballet Teaching Studies. Her greatest motivation is sharing the joy of dance with individuals of all ages and abilities.
