Steven Salinas

Steven's training began at The Richmond Academy of Dance where he apprenticed under renowned Hip-Hop artists Eric Malapad and Marc Generoso. During his 9 years at the Academy he won several scholarships and bursaries to various workshops and training programs. In 2010, Steven was chosen to work with the Olympic Performance Directors for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. After graduating from the Academy's Professional Division, he continued his training as a Hip-Hop dancer joining SickStylz Symphony Dance Company where he advanced his skills in Locking, Breaking and Popping. In the past year Steven has taken his passion for Hip-Hop across the Lower Mainland, teaching classes and workshops where he hopes to inspire upcoming generations to appreciate the art. He has been fortunate to climb his way up Vancouver's dance scene becoming a recognizable artist joining companies and crews such as, TwoFourSeven Company, Hotel California, and Royal Flush Dance Crew. His most recent achievements include: World of Dance Hip-Hop competition with TwoFourSeven Company, Monster's of Hip-Hop Showcase, Urban Alchemy Showcase, and placing 1st with highest honours at Artists Emerge Dance competition.
