Catherine Tseng, BMUS
Catherine Tseng began playing the piano from the age of five. At a young age, she was selected to enter the Music Conservatory for Gifted Children in Taiwan.
She moved to Canada with her family where she won first place in the Canadian Music Competition. This was just the beginning of a collection of numerous scholarships and awards. Catherine graduated from the Vancouver Academy of Music and earned her degree from the University of British Columbia School of Music.
Catherine’s performance accomplishments are notable and extensive, including performing as a soloist at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, with many symphony orchestras, in China and in major concert venues around the world.
Catherine teaches piano and enjoys sharing her passion for this instrument with her students, as well as accompanies ballet classes at many dance studios across the Lower Mainland. Catherine often plays for Royal Academy of Dance Children’s and Vocational Examinations and has been the Royal Academy’s Solo Seal Pianist annually since 2012.
